Inter CEO hints at quiet January and busy summer with 'expensive' signings

Inter Milan are currently playing against Chievo Verona in Serie A, with new club CEO Beppe Marotta, who left Juventus and moved to Inter, speaking to Sky Sport about the transfer market ahead of the match:

‘If the lengthening of the winter market can help us make some deals? I would say no because the January market offers little in terms of quality and we must take into account an already good roster. I believe there will be no sensational signings.

‘Juventus contract with Adidas? It must make us reflect. But when we started with the management Agnelli the numbers were different, then the sporting results changed. If they do not arrive, there is also difficulty from the commercial point of view, so Inter must return to raise a trophy.

‘In June, Inter must add expensive players who make the leap in quality? But of course, these are also property intentions, we know that the quality level of the group must increase and it will be our goal. But today we are in the middle of a season that has started and we have to aim for the Champions qualification, making the most of Spalletti's resources.’
