Inter concern, key figure on Barcelona radar

Following his arrival at Inter this past summer, Milan Skriniar has quickly established himself as an important part of the backline.

The 22-year-old has been an ever-present in Serie A for Luciano Spalletti, helping the Nerazzurri secure the joint-second best defensive record after 11 games while he’s also added two goals to his work.

However, when a youngster impresses as the Slovakian international has done, it subsequently leads to interest from elsewhere with Mundo Deportivo reporting that he is on the list of defensive targets for Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are said to be preparing to sign two defenders next summer, with the likes of Kalidou Kouliably, Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs de Ligt forming the rest of their shortlist.

Spalletti will undoubtedly be desperate to keep hold of the former Sampdoria ace, as he has already proven to be a wise acquisition and will continue to mature and improve with experience.

Inter have started the season in impressive fashion as a whole as they remain unbeaten and sit just two points adrift of leaders Napoli. In turn, they won’t want to see any of their current group leave any time soon.
