Inter dealt blow in chase for Luka Modric
The nerazzurri were heavily linked with a move for Modric since last summer and the move was all but done before the Los Blancos pulled the plug on a possible deal as they had already lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.
AS in Spain state that Modric is now close to agreeing a new Real Madrid deal and he is a step away from signing a new one-year contract.
