Inter face Turkish opposition in the race to sign Real Madrid legend

As Portuguese defender Pepe calls time on his Real Madrid career with another Champions League winner’s medal, reports from Turkey suggest that Inter will face strong opposition from Galatasaray in the race to sign the 34-year-old.

Pepe is now a free-agent and has already been linked with a lucrative move to China this summer. However, there are reports in Italy that suggest that incoming Inter boss Luciano Spalletti would like to add the Portuguese international to his new-look team next season.

In a distinguished career with the Spanish giants which started back in 2007, Pepe has picked up three La Liga titles, three Champions League crowns, two FIFA Club World Cups and two Copa del Rey titles. He was also part of last summer’s victorious Portuguese squad that lifted the European Championship crown in France.

Pepe will now take time to consider his options before writing the last chapter in his career.
