Inter fans riot against Spalletti after Juventus defeat

Juventus prevailed over Inter yesterday in the Derby d'Italia at the Allianz Stadium and remain unbeaten in Serie A this season. Massimiliano Allegri's side are cruising for another title, while Inter coach Luciano Spalletti must deal with less pleasant problems, as the Nerazzurri fans on social media have been showing dissatisfaction with the coach following yesterday's defeat.

Inter proved to be perhaps the better side in the first half away from home, with Roberto Gagliardini and Ivan Perisic having big chances to give their team the lead, but the score was 0-0 at halftime, despite a positive performance and quality football shown by the visitors.

At the beginning of the second half, Matteo Politano had a big chance to score the opener, but his shot was deflected. The 25-year-old winger was the most dangerous player of Spalletti's team during his time on the pitch and caused the Bianconeri defence big problems with his runs and dribbles.

But then, in the 58th minute, something unexpected happened. Spalletti subbed the former Sassuolo man off the pitch and deployed Borja Valero and Inter's activity fell significantly. Not only that, 8 minutes later Mario Mandzukic scored the only goal of the match to keep all three points in Turin.

After Politano's substitution, the Nerazzurri stopped being a threat for the Italian champions and the additions of Keita Balde and Lautaro Martinez in the final part of the game was not enough to compensate for the lack of offensive movement on the opposition half.

And Inter fans did not leave it as it is and started attacking their coach on social media and mocking the former Roma man's mentality and game approach, with many pointing out that Valero's substitution for the main attacking threat on the pitch - Politano - was a clear signal that it is time to defend the 0-0 result, which countless fans disapproved of and made themselves heard on social media.
