    Inter: Javi Martinez, not Fabregas

Inter are looking for a midfielder next season and this could be Javi Martinez of Athletic Bilbao. This is not just a simple market rumors. The Spanish radio station Cadena Ser spoke of preliminary contacts between the Nerazzurri and the player's representatives. They prefer Martinez more than Fabregas. This could be the right choice for Inter, for various reasons.

The Arsenal midfielder is a top player, able to make the difference in almost any team, but it is unlikely that he would come to Milan because he costs at least 40 million euro and if one day he should leave London, he has already expressed his desire to return to Barcelona. To bring him to Serie A, would mean a big investment: registration and salary of about 60 million euro.

Javi Martinez is a year younger (1988), costs half of the price (18 million euro) and could arrive more easily, above all, if Athletic Bilbao will not qualify for Europe. The player who grew up in Osasuna, is a less decisive player, but he's considered one of the most interesting Spanish midfielders around, which was confirmed by his presence in the World Cup. Some compare him to Vieira, some to Gerrard. His acquisition would not exclude another important investment (Sanchez?). Fabregas would risk blowing the whole summer budget.
