Inter, Liverpool target wants to stay at PSG

Inter and Liverpool are set to be disappointed in their quest to land Presnel Kimpembe, according to L’Equipe.

The young Paris Saint-Germain prospect is liked by a number of clubs, but is appreciated by Jurgen Klopp and Luciano Spalletti, who are looking for centre-backs.

Beyond the problem that PSG aren’t a selling club, the 21-year-old doesn’t want to leave the Parc des Princes. He apparently wants to prove himself with the club that launched him, despite the fact that he is behind Marquinhos and Thiago Silva in Coach Unai Emery’s hierarchies.

The Parisian paper claims that his lack of playing time could push him to leave, and the Under-21 French international also has a deal which will keep him in France until June 2018.

Kimpembe recently claimed that he wanted to play more, saying that he didn’t see himself as PSG’s Number 3 (a shirt number offer he eventually accepted) because “the way I see things, I’m always someone who is looking for more [playing time] and, for me, there are no numbers”.
