Inter make contact to sign Barcelona duo

Inter are reported to be interested in signing a couple of Barcelona players who would raise their level helping them to make return qualify for the Champions League and, possibly, become credible contenders for the Serie A title.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s DS Piero Ausilio had dinner with his Barcelona counterpart Ariedo Braida in Milan yesterday night.

The nerazzurri are believed to be interested in signing both Andres Iniesta and Aleix Vidal although the latter could be an easier target than the Spanish superstar.

Iniesta, however, has yet to sign a contract extension with Barcelona and his current agreement with the La Liga giants expire in 2018.

The Spaniard has already informed his club that he won’t join any other club that could face Barcelona but with Inter out of every European competition this season, the nerazzurri still dream of signing the 33-year-old.

Aleix Vidal’s contract expire in 2020 but he could be an easier target to sign as he’s not a regular starter at the Camp Nou.
