Inter meet agent of €24m Spurs target

Inter have met with Matias Vecino’s agent in order to make him an offer, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Fiorentina midfielder is also wanted by Tottenham, and has a 24 million release clause which Inter want to meet… sort of.

Rather than pay the 24 million upfront, the Nerazzurri want to dish out more than that sum, but get the Viola to agree to the transfer to occur over three years, in instalments.

Mauricio Pochettino wants to nab Vecino, as Eric Dier has dropped off Spurs’ radar, having been replaced by Victor Wanyama.

Inter want the 25-year-old, who has made eight assists between Serie A and Coppa Italia action since joining Fiorentina for 2.5 million in 2013.

Agent Alessandro Lucci has just left his meeting with Inter, so that he can then catch up with Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino.

Asked by reporter Emanuele Tramacere about any updates, he said “we need to wait. Am  I confident? I wouldn’t know, I really wouldn’t”.

Here is footage of him leaving:
