Inter, Milan police chief: 'I will ask for the closure of Curva Nord until March'

Following a brutal clash between Inter and Napoli ultras yesterday, four Napoli fans have been seriously injured, while one Inter fan has lost his life at the hospital.

Three Inter fans have now been arrested, suspected of being the main ultras behind the clash. The Milan police chief, Marcello Cardona, has revealed that he's asked for the suspension of Curva Nord.

"There have been fights two kilometres from the stadium. We're currently investigating the situation and two have been arrested, we're looking for the third (has now been arrested).

"This is tragic and unacceptable. I will request the closure of Curva Nord until March 31st, as well as a ban on travelling Inter fans until the end of the season. There were over 100 ultras involved in the clashes, who before the match assaulted a minibus full of Neapolitan fans," he concluded.
