Inter reject Everton's opening offer for Brozovic

Reports from Croatia state that Inter Milan have rejected a bid from Everton for midfielder Marcelo Brozovic. According to the journal Jutarnji List, the Premier League side have tabled an €18M offer for the 24-year-old but the Nerrazzurri have rejected this and are holding out for somewhere in the region of €20-25M.

It’s also reported that the Toffees will go back with an improved offer for a player who has had a torrid time in Serie A since his arrival at the San Siro in 2015. Disciplinary problems both on and off the field has seen Brozovic omitted from the starting XI more time than he would have liked but under the guidance of Stefano Pioli, his form returned and last December he signed a new deal with the club until 2021.

Now Pioli has vacated his position, new boss Luciano Spalletti has given the green-light for his departure and the Premier League is reportedly his preferred destination.
