Inter star gives Liverpool renewed hope of deal

Liverpool have been struggling with playing reliable goalkeepers in the last few years. The likes of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have had several ups and downs and failed to fill the boots of some of the best Reds goalkeepers of the past like Pepe Reina and Jerzy Dudek.

Inter star Samir Handanovic had been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the past and the latest statements of the Slovenia International have given Liverpool renewed hope of a possible deal in the future.

The 33-year-old talked through the club’s official website and revealed that he could not end his career in Milan.

“I don’t know if I’ll end my career here”, Handanovic said.

“My only objective is to play until I am 40, then we’ll see what happen in the future. Now is it time for Inter to step up and make this club return where it belongs.”

“We’ve made some improvements but the next month will be decisive, Inter have done nothing yet.”
