Inter star set to miss Tottenham clash

This evening, Inter released a statement regarding Sime Vrsaljko, who was forced to leave the pitch early during Croatia's encounter with England at Wembley.

"Sime Vrsaljko underwent an MRI this afternoon at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano after being replaced in the 27th minute of the UEFA Nations League match between England and Croatia. The tests showed a thigh strain in his left leg. The Croatian’s condition will be reassessed in the coming days," the statement read.

According to calciomercato.com, it is believed that the right-back will have to spend at least two weeks of rehabilitation. Certainly a huge blow for Inter, as the Croatian has done well thus far for his new club.

In fact, Vrsaljko will probably miss the Champions League clash against Tottenham, while he's also at risk for the game against Roma next weekend.
