According to Sky Sport, Fiorentina captain Davide Astori is very close to signing an extension to his contract with the Viola. Despite speculation linking him with a move away from the Stadio Artemio Franchi, he now seems ready to commit his future to Stefano Pioli’s team.
The 31-year-old centre-back had been linked with a move to Inter in recent weeks, where he would have provided the Nerazzurri with some much-needed depth in their defensive ranks.
