Is Mancini losing the Inter dressing room?

A few weeks ago, all we had were questions.

Now, they're looking an awful lot like certainties: Inter's dressing room is awash with discontent, and much of it is being directed at Coach Roberto Mancini.

Though the Nerazzurri won yesterday against Empoli, you wouldn't have guessed that judging by Stefan Jovetic's response to a question about his season: "I did well until January, but when 2016 got underway I was sat for two months, and I certainly couldn't score from the bench.

"I won't accept this kind of treatment next season, I joined so I could play all the time, and I can manage it. I didn't come here to sit on the bench".

We'd already asked whether Inter's players had quit on the season following last week's shocking performance against Lazio, who comfortably beat them 2-0.

Geoffrey Kondogbia had also commented on the Coach's turnover policy a few weeks ago, though he was far more indirect in his criticism, "I was expecting to play more, but Mancini rotates often".

We can add Mancini's occasionally rocky relationship with striker Mauro Icardi to the problem list, as well as yesterday's tense moment with Juan Jesus, who gave his Coach some pretty nasty looks after he'd been castigated for his role in Empoli's equaliser.

This would explain why the Gazzetta wrote about Roberto Mancini's doubts about remaining at Inter, especially when one considers that the Jesi Coach probably won't see his transfer strategy put into action.
