It's PSG v Man Utd for Brazilian midfielder

According to latest reports, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain will go head to head to try to sign Brazilian midfielder Fabinho this summer. The 23-year-old Monaco star has been one of the revelations of the season both domestically, where he helped the club lift their first French league title in 17 years and in Europe as the club from the principality made it to the last four of the Champions League.

Adept at playing as a defensive midfielder or full-back, Fabinho’s name has been one of the hottest on the transfer market for some time and with him being represented by Jorge Mendes, who is also the agent of United boss Jose Mourinho, a move to Old Trafford looked to be on the cards.

The problem however, is the player’s €50M release clause which United are reportedly reluctant to pay. Fabinho is under contract until 2021 and now The Sun claims that latest reports suggest that French giants Paris Saint-Germain are about to make their move with Sporting Director Antero Henrique already understood to have opened dialogue with the player’s representatives.
