Italy, here is what Andrea Pirlo had to say about the national team's performance in Sweden
"San Siro? It can certainly help Italy for sure to play at home in front of all of our fans. Even so, no one scores from the stands, it is up to the players to do well on the pitch. The referee? I don't think there shouldn't be any complaints here since he did what he had to do. I think Italy were scared yesterday and that's why they did not perform at their levels...".
Pirlo added : "It won't be easy for Ventura, he has to boost his team ahead of Monday's clash. The pressure is on him and on the Italian players to perform. As I said the refereeing was okay according to me. Playing in Europe isn't like playing in Italy, you won't receive calls for minimal contacts. Everyone has to do better". This might be Gigi Buffon's last Italian national team game as Italy will surely be hoping for a better outcome on Monday...
