Joao Cancelo wants Barcelona summer move
The Nou Camp hierarchy have been looking for a new right-back since last summer when Dani Alves moved to Juventus on a free transfer. Sergi Roberto has been adapted to play as right-back and Darijo Srna is likely to move to Barcelona in January, if the blaugrana formulate an adequate offer to Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Croatian defender, however, turns 35 next summer and Barcelona need a young player to become a regular starter in right defence. According to the aforementioned Spanish news outlet, Cancelo has informed his club Valencia that he’s not going to leave the club in the winter transfer window, provided that they’ll allow him to move to Barcelona at the beginning of the 2017-18 campaign.
