JUST IN: Juventus to steal talented youth Gnahoré from under Napoli, Palermo's noses

Palermo were so close. They'd basically done everything, including reach an agreement with Carrarese. All that was missing was a medical, and the signatures. Instead, Eddy Gnahoré is on the verge of signing with Juventus, despite Napoli's strong interest for the 22-year-old.

A former Birmingham and Manchester City academy product, the Paris-born Gnahoré is a promising player, a ceaseless runner, a physical presence with a bucketloads of talent and great vision.

Though not the youngest, Gnahoré will still be treated as one, with Juventus ready to send him on loan to a club they're on good terms with, namely Cagliari, who have already worked with Godfred Donsah.

But how did they manage this? Simple, Carrarese's owner is none other than goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. Rather than risk regretting letting the former French Under-18 international, Juventus - whose scouts know Gnahore well - decided to take a plunge.
