Juve, Agnelli: 'In Allegri I found a sincere friend; I will not discuss the next coach'

Juventus have held a press conference today, in which both president Andrea Agnelli and departing head coach Massimiliano Allegri have spoken. Agnelli, when questioned by the press, said the following:

"The future? I will not answer any questions about the coach of the future.

"Allegri? I remember one of my first tweets, the choice of Allegri in 2014 was a really courageous choice. He is the best coach in our history for percentage of victories, the longest running consecutively after Trapattoni. We lived a year and a half next door to one another, with Barzagli mediating as a close neighbor. So many dinners, visions and comparisons, we saw our children grow up. Let's think about the ride up to Berlin, then we arrive in October in a fairly critical position and the run of 15 victories had arrived in a row when everyone prepared the obituary. There was the duel with Napoli last year and the championship won on the thirtieth day this time. The most important thing is that I found a sincere friend, with whom I could rely on so many topics.

"The team will have the goal of winning. We will have to strengthen the group to aim also at Europe. We have a project of growth on women and on the Under 23. But also a project of growth on the structures, will need a stadium for the Under 23s and women who are not Vinovo or Alessandria. On future programs I have the utmost confidence in Nedved, Paratici, Re and Ricci, who have operational leadership of the company."
