Juve and Chelsea handed transfer blow as Zenit close to signing € 65m Roma duo

Juventus and Chelsea are known to be long time admirers of Leonardo Paredes and Kostas Manolas. The Argentinean midfielder was chased by Juventus this past January and the Old Lady has been recently linked with a move for the former Empoli star as well.

Manolas is a long time target of Chelsea with the Blues that have been monitoring the situation of the Greek centre-back for the last few months.

As we reported yesterday, Zenit are closing in on the signing of Manolas and Sky Sport reports that the former Olympiakos star may not be the only signing completed by the Russian club.

According to the Italian broadcasters, Zenit are also going to sign Paredes for a combined fee between € 65 and € 75 million. Manolas is believed to have already agreed personal terms with Zenit, whilst Paredes will meet his agent on Monday. The Argentinean was determined to snub a move to Russia a few days ago, but now he is reportedly open to join Zenit alongside his teammate. Zenit could close this double swoop by the beginning of next week.
