Just before the Cesena game, which Inter went on to win 2-1, President Massimo Moratti spoke about Ezequiel Lavezzi and manager Stramaccioni.

“Stramaccioni has a strong personality and is very intelligent, I am curious to see how well he does. I believe he can do well and I am the first one to believe it would be best to confirm him,” said Moratti.
