Juve: Italy Internationals return to training, waiting for Khedira, Evra and...Pogba

Massimiliano Allegri is finally ready to have the full Juventus squad at his disposal from tomorrow. With the Copa America and the European Championships that went on earlier this summer, Allgri could only rely on a handful of players for the beginning of the 2016-17 preseason training camp.

However, Mario Mandzukic and Stephan Lichtsteiner returned to training last week alongside new signing Gonzalo Higuain, whilst this morning Italy International Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Zaza and Sturaro returned to Vinovo this morning to undergo medical ahead of the beginning of the new campaign with the first training scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Khedira and Evra will return between Friday and Sunday, whist Pogba’s arrival at Juventus’ training ground is expected in one week time, but the Frenchman may never arrive in Turin as he’s finalizing his transfer at Manchester United.

Juventus will face West Ham on Sunday in the first friendly game played by the Hammers in their new stadium in Stratford, but the Old Lady’s objective is to have all her players fit for the first game of the season against Fiorentina at the J Stadium.

This is the week Allegri will start working with all his players. During the first friendly games of the season, Juventus proved they can be tactically very flexible as Allegri deployed several systems and formations throughout the first part of the preseason training camp.

With Italy Internationals joining their teammates for the beginning of the new season, Juventus’ assault on the Champions League is set to begin tomorrow.
