Juve, Marotta gives Liverpool good news about January transfer window
Liverpool star Emre Can, currently 23, has a contract at Anfield that expires at the end of this season and Juventus have already been linked with a move for the former Bayern Munich man.
The Old Lady, who picked up a 2-1 win over Benevento yesterday, are apparently looking to sign the Germany international on free when his deal runs out. The club’s director Giuseppe Marotta though, has played down reports of a move, saying that Juve won’t sign any players this January.
He told Rai 2: "We will not sign anybody in January. We are currently achieving our objectives in the Champions League, where we have a hard group."
Can joined Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers back in 2014 and has become a key player since then, making nine Premier League appearances this season, grabbing two assists.
