Once the qualifying phases for the 2018 FIFA World Cup are over and about 30 from a possible 32 participants are decided, there will be multiple big absences.

Italy, who failed to qualify for the World Cup following a defeat to Sweden, won’t be there. Netherlands, United States, Cameroon and Chile are the other big absentees.

There will be multiple big-names missing from the World Cup too. This includes Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak, Manchester City keeper Claudio Bravo, Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal and Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic.
