Juve: Set to lose Barzagli, Mandzukic suffers 'serious' injury

Juventus is paying a high price for commitments to national teams of its players and. Upon their return from international break, Juventus will face Lazio, Sporting Lisbon, Udinese, SPAL, and Milan. This is a welcome schedule given the bad news coming out about the conditions of Andrea Barzagli and especially Mario Mandzukic.

Barzagli was forced of at halftime of their match with Macedonia for a muscular injury. He will be evaluated with exams today. Daniele Rugani replaced him on the field

Much more concern is given by, now, former Croatian manager Ante Cacic, about Mandzukic who, had to leave his country’s match with Finland. He suffered, what appears to be, an ankle problem that left him visibly suffering: "Mario is one to bear very high pain, if he came out that way, I think it's a pretty serious problem. It's a fear of losing him for so long, for us it would be a big deal," commented Cacic before his sacking.

The only consolation for Allegri comes from the progressive recovery of Pjanic and Khedira, who should be ready for Lazio, while it will take some time for De Sciglio, Howedes and Marchisio.
