Juve, the attack is not working
As we wrote yesterday, the department that is failing Antonio Conte is the attack. In the summer all the Juventus fans feared for the defense. But Barzagli and his companions have turned out to be more reliable than expected. On the other hand, the attack is a different story. A single goal for Mirko Vucinic, ditto with Matri. Zero for the little used Del Piero and Quagliarella and of course for Iaquinta and Amauri.
Behind the numbers there is much to discuss. In a few circumstances Conte has opted for one striker, focusing more on the midfield rather than crowding the front. And, by the number of goals, the performance of the attackers was not always so bad.
So it's not all the fault of Matri and his partners if they do not score. But statistics are indisputable. And if they are accompanied by an additional element: Ciro Immobile the striker on loan at Pescara, he has already scored eight times in Series B, where he is top scorer. In short, if you needed one capable of throwing it in, the young striker would have been more than useful. Also because the fans will eventually get tired of hearing the coach say, "We played well, I'm glad with the draw" It already happened with Bologna and Chievo. Games dominated by Juventus, but transformed into nightmares because of the difficulties in front of goal.
