Juve vs. Samp: Player Ratings - Ronaldo decisive, Ekdal instrumental

The Bianconeri managed to beat a stubborn Sampdoria at Allianz Stadium, in a game where VAR was involved three times. Here are the player ratings for both sides.

Juventus

Perin (6): Overall a solid game from the backup, though he looked a bit sluggish at times. Nearly cost his team the win with a big mistake late on, but VAR ruled out the goal.

De Sciglio (7): Great game from the fullback, who won back the ball on several occasions. Nothing to complain about.

Rugani (6.5): Solid game by the youngster, keeping Quagliarella and Caprari away from the scoresheet.

Chiellini (6.5): Just like his partner, solid performance.

A. Sandro (7): Great game by the Brazilian. Had a few dangerous crosses throughout the game that nearly resulted in goals.

Emre Can (6.5): Very strong in the midfield, though he gave away a few silly fouls.

Pjanic (6.5): As always an important figure in the centre. Nothing spectacular, but did his job well.

Matuidi (6): Just like Can, he gave away a few fouls and also got booked in the first half. Was replaced by Bernardeschi in the second half, though the Italian didn't have much of an impact

Dybala (6.5): Very good when driving with the ball, but got a bit lost at times throughout the game. Got the assist for Ronaldo on the first goal.

Mandzukic (6): Constantly a threat for the defenders, though it must be said that the Samp defence handled him well.

Ronaldo (7.5): Decisive in the end, although he perhaps wasn't involved too much in the play from time to time. A great first goal, and the penalty wasn't too bad either.
