Juventus considering move for unsettled Chelsea midfielder

After Saturday’s disappointing Champions League Final defeat to Real Madrid, Juventus now have to pick themselves up and plan ahead for next season. Club chiefs are looking to strengthen once again and one of the players that has come onto the radar is Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.

The 28-year-old is mulling over the possibility of a new contract at Stamford Bridge but is unhappy that he’s lost his regular starting berth in Antonio Conte’s squad. With interest once again coming from his former boss Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, speculation is mounting that he will leave West London in this latest window.

Calciomercato.com has learned however, that Juve may challenge the Red Devils to his signature with uncertainty surrounding the future of German star Sami Khedira. Bianconeri CEO Beppe Marotta, who has been masterful at bringing in top quality players at competitive prices, looks to have missed out on Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso and with another of last season’s targets, Blaise Matuidi, looking like staying at PSG, a move for the Serbian international may now make more sense.
