Juventus edge Inter in race for Genoa starlet

According to what has been reported by Tuttosport, Juventus are taking the lead in the race to sign Genoa defender Cristian Romero.

Romero, 20, is currently contracted to Genoa but has been one of the defensive revelations in Serie A this season; attracting the interest of both Juventus and Inter Milan. Juventus, however, have a plan to give them the edge - that of offering the Genoans Stefano Sturaro in the summer, to try and sweeten the deal.
