Juventus have the 8th-biggest wage bill in world football, Milan out of the Top 20

Juventus are the club with the 8th-largest wage bill in world football, according to a detailed survey.

While Sporting Intelligence’s Global Sports Salaries Survey (GSSS) found out that the most expensive team are the Cleveland Cavs, who boast six of the ten biggest sports wages on the planet, Manchester United are the priciest football team, though their €6.69m average yearly salary nowhere near the NBA Champs’ €7.58m.

Focussing on football, Juventus (4.46m) are the only Italian team to sneak into the Top 10, and lag far behind Barcelona, City and Real, who bring up the rear after United.

Roma, for their part, are 11th (3.42m), Inter 14th, and Milan… aren’t even in the Top 20. That should probably change now that the Chinese owners are set to arrive.

The Premier league’s new 3.4 billion deal is enough to give them a comfortable monopoly of the top places, boasting five teams in the first ten, and six more between the 11th and the 20th spots!
