Juventus lacked personality in Lyon clash claims Evra

Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by Ligue1 side Lyon yesterday night, complicating their path for the qualification to the knock-out stage as group winners.

Talking to Premium Sport, the Old Lady’s defender Patrice Evra could not hide his disappointment for the disappointing result.

“Lyon played very well, they could have scored in every moment, I don’t think we have a problem with set pieces.”

“We lost self-confidence and we lacked personality. Honestly, tiredness is just an excuse. We sat way too deep and we allowed them to score the equalizer.”

“We usually have trust in ourselves, we lost it in the last twenty minutes. We are all very upset, we were supposed to qualify to the next stage and we failed to that that. Now we have to go and win against Sevilla.”

“I am upset with how we managed the game, there are tougher moments, however, but it’s not the end of the world, I don’t think I am going to lose any sleep for this result.”

“I trust all my teammates, we don’t have to win the Champions League. If I didn’t trust my teammates I’d ask Allegri not to play me.”
