Juventus, Marotta: 'I fear Inter more'

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has revealed that he believes Inter will be a bigger Serie A title threat than Napoli to the defending champions.

His comments come despite the fact that Maurizio Sarri's side lead the way after 12 games, sitting a point above the Bianconeri and two in front of Inter.

However, Marotta believes that one key factor will come into play in the coming weeks and months, and that's the fact that Inter don't have European commitments and can spend their week preparing for their next Serie A game.

"I fear Inter more than Napoli because without European football they can organise their preparation better," he said.

"They're a solid if not spectacular team as they can be clinical, but Napoli's journey has been remarkable so far."

With Napoli potentially struggling to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions League, it remains to be seen whether or not a possible drop down to the Europa League will see them focus their efforts on domestic matters instead as they chase a long-awaited third Scudetto, with their last coming in 1990.
