Juventus news: Benatia confirms 'difficult moment'

Despite the success in the league, there are those who aren't enjoying a happy spell at Juventus and after a month of silence, are starting to send signals about the upcoming transfer market.

Mehdi Benatia is certainly one of these, which he confirmed through an Instagram post last night. The Moroccan defender hasn't played for Juve since they faced AC Milan back at the beginning of November, and in the game, he caused a penalty.

"In this difficult time, many of you leave me messages of support, and I thank you for it! I particularly want to pay a tribute to the Moroccans of the world who take the time to write to me! As I can not answer everyone, I confirm that there is no place for doubt and that we must continue to move with our heads held high because a LION never dies, he sleeps," he wrote.

His current contract expires in 2020 and it seems that the club isn't interested in renewing the deal, let alone give the defender more playing time. Should things not improve, then Benatia will certainly ask for a departure.
