Juventus news: Bianconeri to battle with Napoli for ‘new Seedorf’

Juventus are constantly keeping an eye on the Italian football market, looking for additions that they can make; either to provide a short-term boost or long-term strength and longevity down the line. One player that Juventus have been linked with heavily is Brescia’s Sandro Tonali, the ‘new Pirlo’ who earned a call-up to Roberto Mancini’s Italy side last month.

However, Juventus are also keeping an eye on Empoli’s Ivorian midfielder, Hamed Junior Traore. The 18-year-old is not only wanted by Juventus but by Napoli too, with the two sides set to compete, as they may for Tonali’s signature, to see who can sign the African youngster first.

Traore is compared to former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf but, at just 18 and with 11 Serie A starts, the Ivorian has a long way to go in terms of experience. Empoli desire to keep Traore at the club, at least for January, yet when Juventus and Napoli come knocking, will he be able to resist?
