Juventus: nothing to do for Peluso. Napoli: Cavani extends. Fiorentina: Toni is back

The news item was in the air, but this afternoon it has become official: Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner will play on loan for Juventus until June 30th 2013,  when the bianconeri will be able to sign the 24 year old on permanent deal by paying 5 million euros to The Gunners.  With the arrival of the Denmark national,  it doesn’t seem to be much space for 29 year old Fabio Quagliarella, but the Serie A champions have refused the offer made by Wolfsburg for the player. During the afternoon Juve have tried to sell 26 year old left wingback Reto Ziegler to Parma, but the two clubs have not found an agreement: the Switzerland national might still leave, considering that the transfer market will remain open for some more days in some countries, but, in the mid-time, the failure of the transfer has prevented the Piedmontese club to sign Atalanta 28 year old Federico Peluso.

Inter Milan have finally renounced to sign a backup for 33 year old forward Diego Milito; until the last minutes Bologna have tried to obtain 21 year old defender Juan Jesus, but finally the nerazzurri have decided to keep the Brazilian player.

25 year old Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani, required by many European top clubs, have finally extended his deal with Napoli until June 2017, Added to the player’s new contract a 63 million euros termination clause.

Fiorentina wanted to end an excellent transfer market campaign by signing a high-level striker: unfortunately after the incredible story involving Dimitar Berbatov, the Tuscan club has not have enough time to find an alternative to the Bulgarian player, and in the last minutes of the transfer window have signed 35 year old Luca Toni, who has lived in Florence the best moment of his career.
