Juventus ready to finalise deal for Brazilian star, Spurs target

Juventus chiefs are ready to meet with their Bayern Munich counterparts to try to close out a deal for Brazilian play-maker Douglas Costa. Italian sports daily Tuttosport (via The Daily Mail) claims that Bianconeri bosses are ready to table a £26M offer to bring the 26-year-old to Turin this summer.

Costa has had a difficult last 12 months in Bavaria and a drop in form has seen boss Carlo Ancelotti relegate him to the substitutes bench. After a high-profile spat with the club’s hierarchy over a new contract, the writing has been pretty on the wall for the player who does not figure in the Italian’s plans next season.

Juventus are looking to strengthen once again as they try once more to try to end their 21 year wait to lift the Champions League, and with Premier League side Spurs also in the hunt, Juve want to steal a march on the North London club and get the deal done.
Costa arrived at the German giants from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2015 and if they can get the deal over the line, they will not have made much of a loss on the original price-tag.
