Juventus set to change name of their stadium

Juventus are set to change the name of their iconic stadium inaugurated in 2011. According to a report of Tuttosport (via ilbianconero), in fact, the Serie A giants are close to landing a new sponsorship agreement with Allianz and the new name of their stadium is likely to sound similar to that one of Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians’ home is called ‘Allianz Arena’ whilst the Juventus Stadium is set to become ‘Allianz Stadium’.

It is still unclear whether Juventus will sign an agreement with Allianz before the next season and it is also unclear how much the agreement between the two parties is worth.

The new ‘Allianz Stadium’ would become the third Italian Stadium named by a sponsor. Udinese’s historic Friuli Stadium is now called ‘Dacia Arena’ whilst Sassuolo’s home is called ‘Mapei Stadium’ which is also the club’s main sponsor.
