Juventus: Talks continue about Bentancur sell on clause

Serie A giants Juventus are intent on making sure that Boca Juniors don’t have a resale value on Old Lady starlet Rodrigo Bentancur, who joined from the Argentine club this summer, reports suggest.

Bentancur has enjoyed an impressive start to the new campaign, capturing the eyes of many already. The 20-year-old has made four starts for the Old Lady this season and has made two starts in the Champions League as well.

When the Uruguayan signed from Boca Juniors, he had a clause in his contract that allowed the Argentine club to have a 50 percent resale value on their former midfielder. Juve want to remove that clause as soon as possible.

Juve obviously don’t intent to sell Bentancur but it is likely that the youngster’s value continues to rise and a possible departure would mean that Boca will get 50 percent of the fee, which is something Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici don’t want to happen.

Contacts with Boca president Daniel Angelici have been made such that a possible solution can be found in the coming months. Juventus do not wish to feel bound to Boca.
