Juventus transfer rumours round-up ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window
Massimiliano Allegri wants a new defender a new midfielder and a new striker. The club’s pre-season camp will begin in a week time. All those players not involved with their national teams will join Massimiliano Allegri and play the summer tournaments organized in China and Australia.
Let’s see what the current status of the team is, focusing on each role.
GOALKEEPERS – Neto has asked to leave. Juventus are open to that but only on a two-year loan or on a permanent deal for more than € 10 million. Bologna’s Mirante would be the first option for the role of second-choice goalkeeper because he’s a product of the club’s academy and Italian teams will have to have at least four of them in the squad from next season. Federico Marchetti is an alternative to Mirante, followed by Sirigu and Diego Lopez. One Primavera goalkeeper between Del Favero and Pinsoglio could be promoted to third-choice goalkeeper.
DEFENDERS – Caceres has gone. The number one objective is now convincing Stephan Lichtsteiner to stay, otherwise Juve will make an attempt for De Sciglio. Contacts have been made for Medhi Benatia as well, but an agreement with Bayern Munich has not been found yet.
MIDFIELDERS – Mirlem Pjanic won’t be the only new face in this part of the pitch. Pogba is not up for sale unless he asks to leave the club. Rolando Mandragora will be loaned out and at least a couple of players between Pereyra, Lemina, Hernanes, Asamoah and Sturaro will leave the club in the summer. The club have already received offers for Pereyra and Lemina.
STRIKERS – Dybala will go nowhere in the summer. The Argentinean is not for sale, just like Pogba. Mandzukic will also remain at the club and Zaza could follow Morata’s path out of the J Stadium if the club would receive an offer around € 25-30 million. Juventus want to sign a top striker to replace Morata (Cavani tops Allegri’s shortlist) and another striker could arrive id Zaza departs. The Old Lady might be looking for a promising striker (possibly an U-21 International) for the role of 5th striker.
