Kante: Chelsea star ‘likely’ to skip Roma clashes with thigh injury

Chelsea star Ngolo Kante could miss both Champions League games against Roma this month due to an injury he picked up while on International duty with France.

Kante was forced off the pitch in the 34th minute of France’s match against Bulgaria on Saturday and the Blues’ manager Didier Deschamps confirmed the 26-year-old has picked up a thigh injury.

According to goal.com the injury of Kante could force Antonio Conte to do without the Frenchman for the next month which means the former Leicester City star could skip both Champions League clashes against Roma.

The first Champions League clash between the Italians and the English will take place at Stamford Bridge on the 18th of October whilst the return leg is scheduled for the 31st of August at Rome’s Olimpico Stadium

According to goal.com Kante is likely to miss also Chelsea’s Premier League games against Crystal Palace, Watford and Bournemouth, and a Carabao Cup fixture at home to Everton.
