Latest: Nice to offer pay rise to Balotelli, liked by Marseille and Everton

Mario Balotelli may end up staying at Nice after all, according to the latest reports from France.

Nice are negotiating with Super Mario’s agent, Mino Raiola,  and plan to offer him a big payrise in order to keep him in France.

Both Marseille and Everton are also reportedly interested in the former Liverpool and Manchester City man, who is coming off a very positive season with OGCN.

According to Le 10 Sport, the two sides don’t exclude that they can come to an agreement, even though Balotelli is liked by a number of teams both in France and in Europe.

Nice are, it is revealed, ready to make him a new offer in order to keep him at the Allianz Riviera stadium.

The idea is that they’re set to offer him a big wage boost, but there’s a catch: though they’ve been working at recruiting Hatem Ben Arfa for the last few weeks, Le Gym can’t afford both.

Ben Arfa was very successful at Nice two years ago, scoring 17 Ligue 1 goals in the 2015-2016 season, helping OGCN make fourth place.
Balotelli, for his part, netted 15 last season.
