Latest: no offers for Barca defender, Roma target

Barcelona haven’t received any offers for Aleix Vidal, according to Diario Gol.

The Spaniard hasn’t been getting much playing time since joining from Sevilla in 2015 for €15 million, and has consequently been linked to the likes of Inter, Milan and AS Roma.

Recent reports from Mediaset indicated that the 27-year-old had actually agreed to join the latter, but this report is throwing a major dampener on that particular scenario.

The Blaugrana don’t see Vidal as a regular starter, and not just because he missed a lot of last season with a fracture.

Their current plan is to raise something like €100 million by January in order to finance some acquisitions, along with what’s left from the Neymar transfer kitty.

Vidal has only totalled 14 Liga starts since joining, with only three coming this season.

There’s another problem however: Vidal won’t leave for a club that is offering him less than his current wage packet.
