Blaise Matuidi, Axel Witsel and more: Juventus’ quest for a new midfielder seems never ending. Unai Emery has opened the door slightly for the 28-year-old French international whereas Zenit continue to dig their heels in over the Belgian. Now another new name has surfaced in the shape of Lazio’s Lucas Biglia.
 

The biancocelesti captain has started discussions on a possible renewal in the capital but a final decision has been made. In fact, the last comments from the player was a month ago when he suggested that; “I hope to stay at Lazio and a decision will be made shortly”. 20 days later and that decision is not forthcoming despite the offer of €2.5 million per season plus €500,000 bonus.  

Juventus are keeping a watchful eye on developments in the Eternal City; coach Allegri is a fan of the 30-year-old Argentine and would see him as an ideal replacement for Claudio Marchisio. Biglia’s current deal expires in 2018 but the biggest obstacle is the Lazio President Claudio Lotito who is asking for €25 million for his skipper.
