Lazio: Chelsea agree to sell wantaway defender on one condition

Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sell Davide Zappacosta to Lazio, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. The former Torino star is one of Lazio main January targets and the two clubs could finalize the deal in the coming hours.

Chelsea have reportedly given their green light to the exit of the wantaway defender. He can join Lazio provided that the Serie A giants match the Blues’ expectations.

Lazio are open to signing the player on loan with an option to buy set to € 15 million. According to La Gazzetta, however, Chelsea want an obligation to buy and would accept a lower offer, possibly in the region of € 12-13 million.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the agreement could be reached with an obligation to buy but with an even lower price-tag and linked to some bonuses.

As per Il Corriere dello Sport, Zappacosta has already said yes to Lazio with the Biancocelesti who could eventually finalize the deal if they spend less than € 15 million.
