Lazio set to keep hold of defender linked with Turkish move

According to what has been reported by Fanatik.com, Lazio could be set to keep hold of Luiz Felipe - their Brazilian defender who has been linked with a move to Turkish league side Galatasaray in the past week.

Luiz Felipe, who has been also reportedly eyed up by Roberto Mancini due to his eligibility for the Italian national side, is one of Lazio's better central defenders and certainly a star in the making.

Lazio fans were angered at the suggestion that Claudio Lotito could be sending the defender to Turkey but, luckily, he appears set to stay. The Turkish side have opted to explore other options first and foremost - ones that would certainly be more cost effective than meeting the Biancocelesti's demands for Luiz Felipe.

Galatasaray are keen on former Palermo and Roma defender Simon Kjaer - yet if they fail in this regard they could opt to pick up interest in Luiz Felipe once again.
