Leicester City chase unhappy Fiorentina star
The Slovenia International is failing to impress at the Artemio Franchi this term having only registered two assists in eight games in all competitions so far.
Ilicic is a long time target of the Premier League champions, though the Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri failed to make a convincing bid last summer.
As we reported yesterday, Ilicic is not happy at Fiorentina anymore as the club have failed to offer him a new deal despite scoring 15 goals and registering seven assists in 37 games with La Viola last term.
The 28-year-old’s contract runs until 2018 and Fiorentina could consider the player’s sale either in January or June as the Serie A side have already signed the possible replacement of the former Palermo man with Gheorghe’s Hagi son Ianis who joined Fiorntina in the summer and made Serie A debut last week against Cagliari.
