Leicester City scout promising Serie A midfielder
The British website reports that Macia had been scouting both Fiorentina star Josip Ilicic and promising Sassuolo midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, one of the best Italian young midfielders out there.
A product of AS Roma academy, Pellegrini, 20, has three goals and four assists in 18 appearances in all competitions so far this season and despite his age he’s been impressing also in terms of personality under the neroverdi boss Eusebio Di Francesco.
The price-tag of Pellegrini could be around € 15-20 million given that he’s one of the most promising midfielders in the Italian football panorama.
Macia scouted him earlier this week returning to watch a game of Fiorentina, the club he was working for before being appointed by the Premier League champions.
