Leicester issue ultimatum to Arsenal and Roma over Mahrez

No secret that both Arsenal and Roma are interested in signing Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez. The Algeria star is reported to have agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants but, at the moment, there is no agreement between the two clubs over the player’s transfer fee.

Leicester City are open to sell Mahrez but the Foxes won’t let the best player of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign leave for less than € 35/40 million.

Roma’s opening € 23 million bid was rejected by Leicester last week.

Arsenal are keeping a very close eye on the talented winger but at the moment there are no reports about an opening offer of the Gunners.

According to Il Messaggero, Leicester City have warned both clubs interested in Mahrez. If they want to sign the talented winger they’d better match the player’s price-tag before the 11th of August, which is when the Premier League begins.

If either Arsenal or Roma fail to offer € 35/40 million by that date, Leicester City could decide to keep Mahrez at the King Power Stadium for one more season.
