The Juventus and Chelsea target is liked by clubs across Europe, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
“I’ve had to take into account the fact that Bernardeschi doesn’t want to renew, despite Fiorentina having made a major offer,” sporting director Pantaleo Corvino said to journalists as he left a legal study in Milan.
“Will he go to Juventus? I don’t know. We have the privilege of having one of the brightest stars of Italian football, we’ll see what we have to do”.
The 23-year-old is at the top of Coach Max Allegri’s priorities, but Fiorentina don’t want the priceless star - who is very liked by Chelsea’s Antonio Conte - to go to a rival.
A star in Italy’s recent run to the European Under-21 Championships semi-finals, Bernardeschi was the subject of a meeting today between Corvino and lawyer Beppe Bozzo, who is the winger’s agent.
Fiorentina have generally considered the scorer of 14 goals in all competitions for them to be untouchable.
